Awnings Explained

You have made the decision to add a canopy to your vehicle, however how do you know which one you need?

Its a common question and not always easy to find the answer, so we thought we would try and explain the different models and also point you in the right direction for the correct one for your vehicle.

F45

The Fiamma F45 model is a 'wall mounted' awning, as this might suggest the awning is fixed to the vehicle from the back, there are two main vehicals that the F45 is suitable for

1) Flat walled motorhomes, the awning comes with wall mounted fixing brackets as standard.

2) Smaller panel vans, such as the VW Transporter and Ford Custom, mounting brackets are available for most vans of this size to allow the fitting of the F45.

There are x3 variants to the F45 - the F45s (small case) these come in lengths from 1.9m to 4.5m. - The F45L (large case) these come in lengths from 4.5m to 5.5m. - The ZIP which is the same as just mentioned however it has a ZIP on the left and right edges of the canvas, this can be used to attach to the 'ZIP Privacy room'

F80

The Fiamma F80 model is a 'roof mounted' awning, as this might suggest the awning is fixed to the vehicle from the bottom, this fits some motorhomes however the main vehicle this awning is fitted to is larger panel vans such as the Sprinter/Ducato/Crafter Etc. The F80 does not come with any type of fixing kit and specific mounting brackets need to be purchased depending on the van.

There are x2 variants to the F80 - the F80s (small case) comes in sizes from 2.9m to 4.5m. - The F80L (large case) this is available from sizes 4.5m to 6m.

F35 Pro

The F35 is similar to the F45 however there are a few main differences, the F35 is a pull out awning not a wind out, the F35 is smaller and lighter and is only available in sizes 1.8m to 3m, its most suitable for small panel vans and SUV's and caravans.

The Caravanstore awning as the description suggests is mainly fitting to caravans, is has a kedor strip connection that can be fed into the awing rail on the majority of caravans, the awning comes in a fabric bag rather than a metal case and is manually rolled out. It's available in sizes from 1.9m to 5.5m. The caravanstore also comes in a 'ZIP' model which is the same as just mentioned however it has a ZIP on the left and right edges of the canvas, this can be used to attach to the 'Caravanstore ZIP Privacy room'

F40

The F40 model only fits a very limited selection of smalerl vans and SUV's such as the Transporter, its a roof mounted awning and will not work with vans that have poptop roofs.
